I Want a New Camera

I was out last Tuesday with my parents and youngest sister at Target, when I saw the most beautiful camera. It was like Excalibur, I had to touch it. I picked up this camera, and being tooling with the adjustable zoom lens. I suddenly felt like I had to have this camera, that it would raise my awareness of cameras.

The camera in question is a Nikon 1 J1. I have read the reviews, which really don’t appeal to me, since my photo-taking skills are basic at best, so I am not looking for professional-level snaps. I saw this review on YouTube, and I figured if a hot guy with loads of camera expertise (who is also a huge nerd) says it’s a good camera, I must get one for myself.

I was going to purchase it immediately with my college reimbursement, but I decided to wait until the end of March and I’ve bought my books for Term 4 and received the reimbursement around the 25th. Because books for Term 4 will be announced soon, and I will have to buy them. And because I am taking Western Civilization and Intro to Humanities, heaven knows how many books I will need.

My mom tried convincing me to wait until my birthday. No, I fell into that trap when I was a kid. Birthdays turn into Christmases, and before you know it, you’re 30 and still waiting for the 80s/90s version of Mall Madness.

I enjoy writing, sitting at the beach for hours on end; just staring out into the beautiful vastness. I love stargazing, and playing with babies. My one ambition in life is to be a published author. I also would love to travel to Dublin, Scotland, Paris, and London. And my current male celeb lust object is Tom Hiddleston.
