End of Term 4 (2015 Edition)

It looks as though my end-of-term grades are going to be higher than I anticipated. I petered out with my two final papers, receiving a B on one, and an A on the other.

I also had to school someone on Jane Eyre, because she thought it wasn’t a Victorian novel. Do you know how hard it is to not sound like a jerk when proving a person wrong? Although the novel takes place in the early 19th century, the topics discussed within it are very Victorian, which we had learned at the beginning of the term.

With history in mind, I quit watching When Calls the Heart¬†because of the blatant disregard for historical accuracy. I am not going to rant about it, but suffice it to say that women in early 1900s were starting to challenge traditional fashion styles, but poorer women wouldn’t have had the resources to do so.
